INSTALLATION
Installation of a Paradise Athletic Tile flooring system can be fairly easy with a good plan and the right tools. We will help you design your system to make the best use of your tiles. Using the dimensions of the rink we can lay out a map for each tile.
BASIC STEPS
- 1Remove lower board (optional)
- 2Clean sub surface
- 3Lay down control lines
- 4Locate dots, circles and net creases
- 5Start laying main floor from one corner
- 6Position first tile with the loops facing the two directions you will be working
- 7Lay floor while working in the elements (dots, lines, circles and creases)
- 8Do your cuts around the curves
- 9Leave a small gap around the perimeter to allow the tile system to expand and contract with seasonal temperature changes throughout the year
- 10Blow off excess dust
- 11Replace lower board
- 12Start to Play!!!
MAINTENANCE
Maintaining a new flooring system is also fairly easy. Follow the simple schedule below to keep your court looking and playing its best.
Daily–Weekly
Blowing off the rink regularly with a leaf blower can keep the leaves, pine needles and debris from building up.
Weekly–Monthly
We recommend using a floor scrubber with a vacuum to collect the smaller debris such as dust, pollen and wheel fragments.
Yearly
We recommend removing the surface and cleaning underneath. This can be done by removing portions or strips so you do not need to remove the whole floor at once.
